What makes Elmseed different than other consulting groups?

At Elmseed, we not only provide recommendations to New Haven businesses, but we also help them implement our recommendations so that we can iteratively gain a broader understanding of how a company functions and the steps for success. We try to give our members a glimpse at not only consulting, but how a business really operates to maximize their experience.

How is Elmseed structured?

Elmseed is structured around a 3-tier system: The executive board, project managers, and analysts. For each client, a group of 5 or less will spend a semester researching and working closely with the client under mentorship of their project manager, and each project manager reports to the head of their respective department. At each step, members are encouraged to take initiative and drive the case themselves, benefitting both their own curiosity as well as their project.

What types of clients does Elmseed work with?

Elmeed’s clients are all drawn from the New Haven Small Business community. We work with businesses spanning all industries, from restaurants to clothing stores to wellness shops and beyond. Through these partnerships, we aim to cultivate a closer relationship with New Haven itself. Additionally, New Haven is a budding center for tech startups, and by utilizing Yale’s extensive resources and Elmseed’s talent, we’ve been able to help many innovative technologies try to reach the next big stage!
